Whitney Houston was one of the most influential voices of my life. I was working in Beverly Hills when I heard the news, and I am still in shock. Her music really touched my life, and I couldn’t express myself any other way.
Here’s my a capella tribute to Whitney Houston — I Will Always Love You.
This girl can SANG! (Taken with instagram)
Let’s revisit Chasing Pavements by Adele. Such a familiar feeling. Adele, as I always say, is brilliant because of her emotional vocals, and that’s why whenever I hear a song of hers it goes straight to my heart. And then I just have to sing it.
Here’s a cover of Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You, by me and Jeff. No matter what’s going on in my life, I can always turn to music and singing to relieve my stress and make me feel better. I just needed something to take my mind off of the mess my day was and singing is my form of therapy.
Like I always say, it’s not perfect. But that’s the beauty of life, no? I hope you enjoy it.
My parents have this kick-ass karaoke system (I know, so Filipino) and I had to take advantage of it. I haven’t been singing enough, and I let my other YouTube account die a quick death due to neglect and fear of judgment. Well, the other night, I decided to take the karaoke machine for a spin, and ended up with three videos. I would have recorded more if I didn’t get sleepy, haha! It’s just karaoke, it’s not a performance, and by golly, it’s never perfect, but I hope you will listen and feel the same amount of peace I feel whenever I sing my heart out.
I have added a music link to my right-side navigation, because I realized music is still an important part of my life— here’s to constant updates!
